Top 5 Favorite Places to "Get Sh*t Done" in the Valley of the Sun

I am definitely a fan of doing everyday things in the most adorable places. If I am being 100% honest with you all, if it were possible for me to fly to Laduree Paris every week to write my weekly To-Do list, I would. One day guys, one day.

I may not have my private jet to wisk me away to France yet, but lucky for me I live in a city that has some of the MOST darling coffee shops and restaurants.

The Henry

I have told my boyfriend multiple times, if I could have Fox Restaurant Concepts design our future home I totally would! All of their restaurants have their own charm, and The Henry is definitely my fave.

Whether I am inside at one of the Desk-type tables they have right next to the cafe area to accommodate working individuals/bloggers like myself, or outside by the fireplace sipping a pomegranate peach mule, I always feel cozy. There is something to be said about going places that make you feel at home. I'm not saying go crazy and take a nap on the couches or anything, but when you go somewhere and instantly feel relaxed outside of your home, it is a great thing! I think that is probably a huge reason why I am able to just plug in my headphones, and unplug from everything around me when I am there. Also, since I do love great food, if you are trying out this gem for the first time, I would STRONGLY suggest trying the White Truffle Parmesan Fries. Its for sure not the healthiest thing on the menu, but if you're like me (a huge truffle and cheese freak) then these are a must!

Songbird Coffee & Tea House

This Cafe is an oasis in the middle of Downtown Phoenix

I always feel like I am in one of those cute attics they have in movies when I walk in the door! You know, the ones that have hungry hungry hippos up on an old bookshelf, an Encyclopedia Britannica collection in its entirety, and the first couch your parents ever bought together because they refuse to let it go for obvious sentimental value. One AMAZING tidbit I love about this place is that everything is locally sourced from within Arizona. Tea from Tucson, coffee from Tempe, and baked yumminess from Phoenix. Check them out, and make sure to check out their Matcha Green Tea Latte!

Cartel Coffee Lab

Ok, I will admit that I am quite the sucker for a cute latte.

I have no shame in saying that I will choose to head over to Cartel some days just for my cute foamy milk design at the top of my cup. Like every great "perfect picture chaser" knows, the camera always eats first. So when I want to make everyone's mouths water over my almond milk macchiato on "the gram", I drive 2 minutes down the street to this tucked away cafe in Old town Scottsdale.

Besides its obvious insta-worthy food appeal, if you like to do your fair share of people watching while getting some work done, head to this gem on a Saturday morning.

Chestnut Fine Foods & Provisions

The atmosphere here is so great!

All of the employees are so welcoming, the owners are usually there working, and they are some of the nicest people you will ever meet! You can't help but feel like you're hanging out at your best friend's house when you spend time working here because they all will stop by the table periodically to check on you while they're making their rounds.

This is usually a lazy Sunday spot when I want to socialize and check a few things off of my to-do list. I know that when most people think of chicken and waffles usually Lo-Lo's Chicken & Waffles comes to mind... but have you checked out this place?! YUM, and that's not the only amazing thing on the menu to choose from.

Sip Coffee & Beer House

One reason I love this place so much is because its like my own little downtown city in the heart of Scottsdale.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE old town. It has an amazing variety of restaurants to choose from, historic old town has a very rustic charm about it, and when I want to do Sunday fun day right, RnR is right down the street for bottomless mimosas; but being able to walk into such a diverse atmosphere on an open mic night makes me feel like I stumbled upon a hidden speak easy in downtown Seattle. If work is what you are trying to accomplish, I would not suggest on a Wednesday night, Friday night, or Saturday morning since that is when they have open mic night. All other times are perfect for getting work done! Most of their furniture has been picked up from local yard sales or handmade, which makes for a very eclectic ambiance. If this sounds like your cup of tea, then I'd suggest you go grab a cup here!
